Summary of research and educational activities
My primary research focus is to identify and characterize the responses of organisms exposed to environmental stressors. A central objective is to use biota to determine the bioavailability of pollutants and thereby assess the risks they pose in complex environments. More specifically, my research addresses two main scientific questions: 1
- What are the mechanisms underlying the sensitivity of organisms to chemical stress?
- What is the relationship between dysfunctions observed at the individual level and those identified at the level of disturbed ecosystems?
Since joining SEBIO in 2017, I have held the AQUASURV and BASE chairs in ecotoxicology.
