Summary of research and educational activities

Recruited in December 2025, my mission as a Research Engineer specializing in the development of cellular tools for ecotoxicology at UMR-I-02 SEBIO (URCA site) consists of designing, developing, adapting, and testing new methodologies in the context of research topics in animal cell biology, in accordance with ethical rules and with a view to application in the bio-assessment of aquatic environments.

My main objective is to develop and apply ex vivo (primary cultures) and in vitro (cell lines) cellular tools to assess the toxicity of contaminants (molecules/environmental matrices) representative of wild aquatic organisms (mollusks, crustaceans, fish) on which the SEBIO Unit's work is focused, and to remove the barriers preventing their use in bioassessment.

The acquisition of these new skills will, on the one hand, improve understanding of the mechanisms associated with toxic risk and, on the other hand, generate ecotoxicity data at the cellular level that can be taken into account in environmental risk assessment approaches using modeling tools that integrate the different levels of biological organization.
