Summary of research and educational activities
My research can be divided into four axes, each with its own scientific questions and associated challenges:
- Axis 1: Role of immunomarkers in environmental biomonitoring:
Representativeness of innate immunity responses in biomonitoring of continental aquatic environments. Comparison of individual/conditional/spatio-temporal immune responses in invertebrates. Identification of parameters for the application of immune responses in biomonitoring and their implementation. - Axis 2: Change of scale of immunomarkers
Consideration of cellular and plasma responses in the immunity of bivalve invertebrates. Global and unbiased observation of innate immunity. Opening up to other species of invertebrates. - Axis 3: Responses of immunomarkers in a context of multiple pressures
Effects of chemical contaminants and biological pressures on immunomarkers. Understanding the interactions and mechanisms of action. - Axis 4: Regulation of immunomarkers in invertebrates
Define the links between immunity and other physiological functions (i.e., "immunity and nutrition" through food quality and energy distribution as well as with microbiota balance, "immunity and reproduction/endocrine system" through the modulation of immunomarkers with the life cycle of bivalves, etc.).
