My work consists in designing the methodological perimeter of an embryo-larval bioassay in the bouquet shrimp (Palaemon serratus). The aim is to consider the natural variation in vulnerability of the species for a more accurate estimation of environmental risk. My work aims to characterize the sensitivity of larval development in this species during exposure to various chemical contaminants by studying a battery of developmental monitoring parameters. The modulation of individual vulnerability to chemical contamination is studied in terms of intra-population (i.e. seasonal variation), inter-population and inter-species variation.
