Résumé des activités de recherches et pédagogiques

I am trained as a genomicist and molecular biologist, with early research focused on understanding how host genomes adapt to the presence of selfish genetic elements. In recent years, my work has shifted toward investigating the evolutionary mechanisms that drive the diversification of tissues and cell types within species’ organs.
At SEBIO, I leverage multi-omic approaches to examine how species evolve to cope with environmental stressors. For example, by sequencing genomes from different populations within a species, I aim to identify key genetic loci linked to stress resistance. Additionally, using bulk and single-cell transcriptomics, I will explore changes in gene expression and regulatory networks activated by environmental stress, providing insights into how these pathways have evolved to enhance resilience.
Ultimately, my goal is to develop integrated systems for studying both genetic and epigenetic factors that contribute to resilience in the face of environmental challenges. By advancing our understanding of the molecular foundations of adaptive responses, I hope to shed light on how species can better cope with rapidly changing environments.
