Summary of research and/or teaching activities :
My research focuses on the interactions between protozoan parasites and aquatic fauna, under laboratory and field conditions, using molecular approaches. This work aims to explore the potential of bivalves as biomonitoring and bioextraction tools for protozoa in water bodies (recreational waters, wastewater treatment plant effluents ...). Characterization of the survival, transfer and circulation of these protozoa in aquatic ecosystems is being explored. This work also aims to determine the impact of protozoa on the physiological responses of bivalves, responses used as biomarkers.
